Recently, one of our users made a feature setting suggestion which we will take into consideration and will in all likelihood implement in one of our subsequent releases. The suggestion involved cacatoo remembering the audio/video settings in the Capture Video function so that users needn’t have to enter the same information multiple times.
Meanwhile, if there are any other suggestions you may have, please don’t hesitate to use the feedback tool on either our application or the website or for that matter, the blog! We’re here and we’re listening.

If you’re a Mac user, and think “wait a minute, where’s my product?”, you can stop thinking about it; development of cacatoo’s Mac version is currently underway.
Meanwhile, we’ve also been busy putting up the application into various web directories including Download.com and Tucows. As noted below, you can now download the application first, and register later.
If you face any problems during the installation process or in terms of usability, or want to suggest possible improvements, here’s the place to do it!
Please note: Users of Firefox 3 will notice installation disruptions with Silverlight; this is a problem with the browser itself and is in no way related to cacatoo. Silverlight 2 will solve that problem. Users on Firefox 2 and below and Internet Explorer/Safari users are precluded from this issue.

We’ll put up a post when it’s done.

We’ve got a few “bad ass” tips to help you navigate around cacatoo. In our last post, we mentioned a new feature: assigning multiple keys as a single hotkey. This is demonstrated below:
Another thing you may have noticed if you’ve been using our beta versions, is the ability of registering directly through the application.
Clicking the link will redirect you to this window:
Entering your email address here saves you the need of registering on the site first. The advantage? You can use the product in its offline state before using our online version to upload and share your captures. Or save them locally and manually attach them with your emails or within IM applications. But it’s a lot easier to just send a link.
We’ll leave it to you now to try things out and experiment…
